The breadth of the Matrix estate fruit—from the foggy beds of the Russian River Valley, the highlands of the Sonoma Coast and the mountainous edges of Dry Creek Valley—gives our winemaker an incredible selection grapes. Our estate fruit sources also give us the flexibility to select not only the vineyards for our wines, but a vineyard block or even specific rows.
With our focus on labor-intensive, hands on farming practices we produce low-yield vineyards that result in grapes marked by astounding concentrations of flavors— thus creating wines that are powerful yet elegant.
